I am baaacckk!!

Hello! I haven't blogged for awhile, let alone Tablescape! I have been preoccupied with my daughter's 10-10-10 wedding. It is a precious memory now! So today, I have a few pictures of the weddingscapes and one of the table I did today for Fall (can't believe I haven't visited Tablescape Thursday for over a month!) It has been about a year now since I first joined the fun over at Between Naps on the Porch where Susan hosts our weekly fun.

My daughter's wedding was wonderful so I am showing her pics first:

Here we are with the happy couple!

My daughter did a baseball theme- fun and elegant!

Here are a few of the new fall table I did this morning sans dishes- I found the tablerunner at Kohls (used a coupon and got it for about $5), Flowers at the Tree, and candles and hurricanes at thrift stores.

Have a blessed week!

Good to be back!

Simply Lemony!

Hello and welcome to Tablescape Thursday, where our wonderful hostess, Susan at Between Naps on the Porch welcomes us and our tables!
With my oldest daughter, Tiffany getting married in a few weeks, I have had my mind on a zillion things, and I haven't done a table in a few weeks. This week, I didn't want another week to go by, so I did a very simple table"runner"scape. I have a thing for lemons and just bought a huge bag of lemons at Costco last night, so that was my inspiration. (I already have some ideas for embellishments for next week- bought 3 sets of cloth napkins today at the thrift store and one set will go wonderfully with the lemons).

Have a blessed week and leave a note to say hi!

Wedding Countdown

Well, the shower was 4 weeks ago, the Bachelorette Party was this past weekend- the countdown is on- my daughter, Tiffany is getting married 10-10-10! With the trendy date, we reserved everything early- seems like an eternity ago- so we are down to the wire to finish paying for everything and tying up the loose ends. She is marrying a wonderful guy who will give us an instant grandson! Yeah!

Details:
We will be having the wedding and reception outside in the courtyard of the South Florida Museum in Bradenton- it is a mini-destination for us- about an hour away! My daughter formerly worked for a caterer, so they will be doing the food and the bar.

Her colors are purple with blue accents. She has chosen a local florist and a photographer whose work she really liked. The DJ is the same one we used with our other daughter's wedding- he really got the party going!

The rehearsal dinner will be catered by the chef at my daughter's school where she just started her first teaching job.

We are having about 100 people.

The shower was held at Olive Garden- she received some really nice gifts and the Bachelorette Party was in Orlando. I was invited! I brought along my sister, Tammy. We had a good time shopping, eating, drinking (just one margarita!) and sunbathing.

I will be writing more about the wedding in the weeks to come.

I cheated a little!

I was feeling unmotivated to do my table this week, after 40 some odd tablescapes, you kinda wonder what to do- but then I went shopping and found some new accent plates! They are still Johnson Bros Ironstone, but with a ring of really pretty flowers! Changed a few candles, popped the napkins in the stemware, and after I had taken my pictures already, I put down some REAL rose petals from my daughter's shower rose. I found some purple taper candles at iParty of all places.

and now with the real rose petals (I was shocked how much it changed the look!).

As always- be sure and join Susan and the rest of the Tablescapers over at Between Naps on the Porch

Thanks for stopping by- leave a little howdy!

Blessings-

Bridal Shower Inspiration

I told my sister, Tammy that I was going to keep my chickenscape up for another week, but I saw that beautiful rose from my daughter's Bridal Shower this past weekend and decided not to let it go to waste. I made the little heart charms for about 30 bud vases and that was our guests' favor! (I saw the idea in a Scrapbooking magazine- and added my own little twist!) Oh, yeah, and I remembered I had just bought a really pretty lace tablecloth at GW for $4 so- a pink lace tablescape it is. After I got all done and even took some pictures, I decided to add the lovebird tealights that we used at the shower and some faux rose petals (we used real ones at the shower)as well! I couldn't believe how just those little changes made such a difference. I am adding this to my list of favs!

Below is the picture before the changes- nice but not quite as nice!

Here is the table setting. Aren't the napkin rings adorable? My sister, Eagle Eye Tammy found them for me! Sometimes, it is nice that she doesn't like pink!

As always, check out Between Naps on the Porch for a wonderful Tablescape Party every Thursday! Thanks, Susan, for such a fun time!

Finally, I had to share- when my son first walked by my new Tablescape, he said, oh, I like this! And I didn't ask for an opinion! Gotta love it!! My husband just says, oh, you taking some more pictures today? ha ha

Please leave a little hello for me! I try and visit all my commenters- that way we all get some visitors!! Have a blessed week!

Love,
