I was feeling unmotivated to do my table this week, after 40 some odd tablescapes, you kinda wonder what to do- but then I went shopping and found some new accent plates! They are still Johnson Bros Ironstone, but with a ring of really pretty flowers! Changed a few candles, popped the napkins in the stemware, and after I had taken my pictures already, I put down some REAL rose petals from my daughter's shower rose. I found some purple taper candles at iParty of all places.
and now with the real rose petals (I was shocked how much it changed the look!).
As always- be sure and join Susan and the rest of the Tablescapers over at Between Naps on the Porch
Thanks for stopping by- leave a little howdy!
Blessings-

Bridal Shower Inspiration
I told my sister, Tammy that I was going to keep my chickenscape up for another week, but I saw that beautiful rose from my daughter's Bridal Shower this past weekend and decided not to let it go to waste. I made the little heart charms for about 30 bud vases and that was our guests' favor! (I saw the idea in a Scrapbooking magazine- and added my own little twist!) Oh, yeah, and I remembered I had just bought a really pretty lace tablecloth at GW for $4 so- a pink lace tablescape it is. After I got all done and even took some pictures, I decided to add the lovebird tealights that we used at the shower and some faux rose petals (we used real ones at the shower)as well! I couldn't believe how just those little changes made such a difference. I am adding this to my list of favs!
Below is the picture before the changes- nice but not quite as nice!
Here is the table setting. Aren't the napkin rings adorable? My sister, Eagle Eye Tammy found them for me! Sometimes, it is nice that she doesn't like pink!
As always, check out Between Naps on the Porch for a wonderful Tablescape Party every Thursday! Thanks, Susan, for such a fun time!
Finally, I had to share- when my son first walked by my new Tablescape, he said, oh, I like this! And I didn't ask for an opinion! Gotta love it!! My husband just says, oh, you taking some more pictures today? ha ha
Please leave a little hello for me! I try and visit all my commenters- that way we all get some visitors!! Have a blessed week!
Love,

How would my life be better with a Serger?
I am entering a blog giveaway where a Husqvarna Serger is being given away. To enter, I must answer the question- How would my life be better if I had a serger?
I have been sewing since I was 14 years old. My family, friends and blog friends know that this is a long time. Anyway, I made some of my own clothes in high school,I sewed many, many items for my children- clothes, costumes, etc. I have sewn curtains, prom dresses, diaper bags,my great-niece's Christening gown, my grandson's Baptism outfit- all without the benefit of a serger. My current sewing machine is a Husqvarna and I love it! How nice and professional would the construction of future sewing projects be with a serger!? I have been thinking lately about beginning a sewing business highlighting heirloom sewing and Baptism/Christening gowns. What a great bonus!
Here is a little poem I wrote for some originality points.
Serge, serge, serge a seam
Oh, I wish I could!
So nice a machine- what a dream!
Serge? Oh,yes,I should!

I am not Chicken!
Well it is time, once again, for Tablescape Thursday! Awhile back, I found a cute little tablerunner- at Goodwill for $2- with little chickens all over it. I thought it was so cute and really when you use mostly the same dishes (Ironstone) week after week, the tablerunner is what gives the inspiration! So, here goes my "Chickenscape"! I found the little cream colored chickens at the Tree and the colored ones at Salivation Army. The cute little egg basket I have had for an eternity! (You probably recognize the overused flowers from last week and the week before and for the Fourth of July- I just ripped the blue flowers off). My sister, Tammy also known as "Eagle Eye" gave me the cute little chicken napkin rings!
Thanks so much for stopping by! I don't get a lot of visitors, but that is ok, I do the tables for myself regardless. Doing so, just livens up the house, makes a beautiful statement and helps the desire to keep the house clean. (You can't have a tablescape in the middle of a mess!) Be sure and check out Between Naps on the Porch where Susan so graciously hosts this lovely Tablescape Thursday every week! I have been joining in now for almost a year! It has been fun!
Leave me a little note to say hi- love to know you have stopped by! Have a blessed week!
