Winter Wonderland Tablescape!

Here is my Winter Wonderland table- I love it! I have been wanting to do the Christmas "Villages" (that is what my daughter and I call them!) for quite awhile and finally this year I did! I bought all the houses and little decor pieces at the Tree (well, one I got at the thrift store). The big church on the hill (AKA my cake plate covered with stuffing) I found at Kohls- it is a tea light holder- it looks sooo pretty all lit up. This turned out so much better than the one I did a few years ago with train set's little houses- it didn't work under the tree as well as this.

I also bought the white snowberry ring at the Tree.

I kept the same dishes from the red and gold tablescape and just changed the napkin, the silver and I am using the clear goblets. I wanted a white, silvery look for my snowscape. Hey, I live in Florida and haven't seen snow in many years. I think I have only had maybe 1 or 2 White Christmases, not here, of course, but when I was a very young child.

Aren't the old fashioned Santa candlesticks cute? I had to put them on the table! The bit of red adds just a bit of color.

Be sure and visit other tablescapers, hosted by Susan at Between Naps on the Porch!

Many Blessings and prayers for a wonderful, blessed Holiday for you and your family!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Christmas Tablescape

Hello all! I have a few tablescapes I wanted to do for the holiday season, so I thought I better get busy and I actually did 2 over the weekend. I will share my Winter Wonderland in the next post.

I used a bit of red and gold for this table. The topiary I bought a few years ago (and a friend borrowed it for a wedding- gee that was 4 years ago!) I put the cranberry vine around it. My placecard is from my sister, Tammy who did 2 tablescapes for her church's womens Christmas dinner.

I love my Santa and Mrs Claus

I found these cute Christmas side plates back in the spring- they aren't marked, but I think they go really well with my Ironstone.

I alternated red and gold chargers and I used my gold flatware. I also used my Christmas glasses and my green (St. Patrick's Day) goblets.

My tables have really helped me get into the holiday decorating spirit. I hope you have a blessed Christmas! Be sure to join all us fun-loving tablescapers with our hostess, Susan at Between Naps on the Porch

Thanksgiving and Advent Tables!

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! We had a blessed day! We spent the day at baby girl #2's inlaws and it was a deliciously wonderful day. So, I took a few Thanksgiving pictures and I changed a few things on my table from 2 weeks ago, to make room for an Advent table. The Advent colors don't really go with Christmas, but I think I made it work ok (green is a non-color according to the florist who did baby girl #2's wedding 3 years ago).

I love this Thanksgiving tree, don't you?

The food was delicious (that is my broccoli casserole in the foil wrapped Pampered Chef pan!)

Love those Pilgrim People salt and pepper shakers too!

I tried some different lighting shots- this is no flash.

I found this nifty candleholder that I made into an Advent wreath.
 My little JR faced angel!
Yes, I am a candle freak. My sister, Tammy turned me on to the wonderfulness of hurricane lamps, too. I chose all green candles to go against the pink and purple of the Advent.

This is with the light on no flash.

I love angels!

Have a blessed Advent season as we wait on the coming of the Christ child! Praise Be to God!

The dishes are baack!

Hi Everyone!

Thanks for the sweet comments last week welcoming me back after my little break! I just had to do a table this week after all that sweetness! I still have my centerpiece from several weeks ago that I changed up a bit- I figured the time to use the pumpkin stuff was coming to an end with Christmas just around the corner, right? My hubby didn't get down my Halloween or my Thanksgiving stuff this year- be lucky if he is feeling up to getting the Christmas stuff down- but anyway, here is my Thanksgiving table (which of course I won't use, since we are going to in-laws this year!) I decided to use green candles, napkins and glasses to pick up the green in the table runner. Then of course I got down my fave Ironstone (which I use everyday and love, love love it!)

Well, enjoy my table and thanks for visiting- I will try and visit some more tables this week.

Can you tell the sun was just streaming in from the front window to the left of the table?

 More sun!
I love my cornucopia! The Dollar Tree flowers look pretty good in there! Whoops forgot to light that one candle! I am slipping!

Turned the cornucopia around for a different view.
Here in Florida there is no frost on the pumpkins, but mine are getting pretty ripe! (We did have a cold snap a few weeks ago though!)
And I thought the green stuff was only good for Christmas and St. Patricks Day!

There! Lit those candles- got a 3 set as a prize at the Baby Shower from last week!

Thanks for visiting and be sure and check out Between Naps on the Porch where our hostess, Susan lets us play in the dishes!

Changed the Nana picture!

Hi Everyone! I am back to working on my blog a little- been neglecting it with all the wedding stuff going on. The wedding was a month ago and now we are on to JR's 2nd Birthday this Saturday and of course the holidays. How do you like my new pic? Isn't my little vampire a cutie? (Not very scary, huh? Well, confidentially, the REAL reason I am using that pic is because one of my Facebook friends said I look really young in it!! So, tell me- what picture would YOU use?.... That's what I thought!)We had such a good time on Halloween- nothing too evil or scary, just the family having fun with the kids.

Until next time!

Still taking a break, still love my fall table but...

+JMJ+

Hello, Everyone!
Nana has been a little lazy with her tablescaping in the last few weeks, so much so that my sister, Tammy thought I had quit! Oh, no! Just taking a break- a lot going on at Nana's. This week I thought I would share a few tablescapes from a Baby shower I went to this past weekend. The shower was for my friend's daughter at my friend's house.
Here is the diaper cake that I made:

The presents make a nice tablescape too!
Another diaper cake- made such a cute centerpiece. The glass dishes next to the candles have a flower floating in water- very pretty.
The food table- I didn't think to take a picture before the feast!
Another pretty centerpiece with candles and flowers

Have a great and blessed week!
