A Tablescape that we actually ate at!

www.betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com
Yes, you read that right! We actually 1) had company (which we never do),2)used this tablescape and 3) actually SAT at the table! It was my nephew's birthday and my sister, Tammy had to go out of town, so she asked me if I would do the cake thing for him. I said sure and then decided to have him and his brothers and a friend of his for dinner. So, I had the 4 of them, my son (Baby Boy or BB)and my husband- talk about out numbered! Anyway, I served baked chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, brocolli and homemade rolls.(I would also like to share that I finally have made good mashed potatoes, twice now- I was having a problem for awhile!)It was pretty good I must say. So here are the "before" pics.

The cake! June is a very busy birthday month for our family- hubby, me, Lil Mama, my 2 late grandmas, the nephew we had this cake for and another nephew share the same birthday! Happy Birthday to all of us!

I would like to thank Marlis who made some suggestions of how to load my pictures faster- it took a little work to figure out, but I think I got it- these loaded to my blog really fast!

And as always, our wonderful hostess, Susan deserves a warm thank you for hosting this fun event every week. It is a nice little cyber escape to others' homes for a peek at some beautiful tablescapes!

Many blessings-

Hi Nana, It sounds like you had so much fun. It was so nice of you to do the birthday thing for your nephew. The table is beautiful and the menu sounds delish!
I am a new follower. We Nanas and Grannys have to stick together. Ginger

Our crazy family birthday month is May, so I've been in recovery mode during your busy June time. My Sweet Mister, my son, and my precious Yorkie all have the exact same birthday. Your tablescape is lovely. I know that the evening must have been so special. Thank you for sharing your charming design. Cherry Kay
