I am going to try it...

Tablescape Thursday that is with Between Naps on the Porch- a blog I came across recently (not sure how I ended up there, but here it goes adding some pictures! ) Tablescape Thursday is a blog event where we can show off our decorated tables- it just seems like so much fun.

Here is my table! I made the runner from an old tablecloth, got the plates, napkins and some of the other decor at Salvation Army. The little jack o lanterns became my napkin rings! (I got a bag of those for .25 at a Fall Festival Flea Market) Beauty doesn't have to be expensive! Even my husband and son have commented (positively) about the table! Oh, did I also mention I got the TABLE at Salvation Army? We had a big heavy brown table and I was just ready for the lightness of a glass table and at the great price I got it for, I can switch up pretty inexpensively.

I think you did a great job with the tablescape. I really like how you placed the little scarecrow in the large glass, very cute!

You've created a nice table for your family to enjoy.
I, too, have a glass dining room table & should have invested in Windex stock loooong ago! LOL

(0; I have been mustering up the courage to play dishes too, but now am in the middle of a move to a new home, so maybe once I'm settled into the new place, I hope! Now you have me in my closet pulling out the brandy sniffer in the back so that I can decorate it. Good idea. Happy Halloween!

Isn't it fun? I just did my third tablescape and I find myself thinking about what to do next all the time now.

I think you did a great job, and you are so right...you can set a table on a budget if you just get a bit creative.
