Let us Celebrate Valentine's Day!

Once again, it is a favorite day of mine in blogland where we meet up over at Between Naps on the Porch and post our tablescapes. Fluff, you say? Umm, well maybe, but here is my take on that. No matter what crazy, depressing, happy, sad or upsetting thing is going on at MY house- when I look at my table all decked out, I know, that 1) I have done something a little creative, 2)I have done something for my family, 3)I have done something for the beautification of my home (which means a lot), and 4) it is something that my sister, Tammy and I get a kick out of doing together, and of course 5) it is something that I get to share with potentially the world (at least Nana's little world!).

I decided to get a early start on Valentine's Day and use those yummy plates from a few weeks ago, that my sister gave me! The first picture is of me and my sister,Tammy, AKA, The Domestica Diva herself! (Say a little prayer for her today, as she is recovering from surgery on her hand that she had yesterday.) Oddly, enough, we are pictured at a Women's Christmas Banquet at her church where the hostess of each table did their own tablescapes- there were close to 30 (I think?) tables! Tammy did 2 tables, one of which she donated as a door prize. We had a good time!

I kept my usual pattern of candles in the middle (Just Call Me CandleLady would be a good name for my blog, too). I placed a runner over the lace tablecloth.

I alternated gold and red chargers (I only have 3 red ones, so hey it works for me!)

I had a few too many candles already to use the angels as candlesticks, so I put a little leftover Christmas flower in them!

Aren't the plates just plain pretty? And the rose napkin rings lend themselves to Valentine's Day, huh? (I always tell my hubby not to buy me roses on Valentine's Day because they are too expensive then, but I am sure happy when he doesn't listen (about the roses, I mean!).

Have a blessed week and be sure and visit Between Naps on the Porch where Susan is our hostess with the mostest every week!

Much love,

Your red and white table is so pretty -- beautiful for Valentine's -- love the cherubs. Love what you have to say about tablescaping -- it is a fun and creative outlet for so many of us. So wonderful that you and your sister share the joy of it. Praying that her hand heals well.
